Redecorating the living room again and bedroom colour ideas

On Monday, mum and I went paint shopping again as we found the living room to be too blue and cold but we’ve now made it a lot greener (see the colour here). Furthermore, we’ve been thinking about decorating my bedroom in these colours, this one for a feature wall at the back of my bed and this one for the other walls.

What do you think?

Otherwise I haven’t been doing much at all apart from revising a bit of psychology revision and reading a bit of Wuthering Heights.

Seeing dad for the first time in months

Over the last two days my mum and I finished the living room and now it looks all fresh and modern. The thing is we can’t decide whether the colour is really green or blue. However, it is supposed to be green or at least that’s what we think.

Otherwise, today I saw my dad for the first time in ages and we went to see Cars 2. Cars 2 was good, it made me laugh sometimes with the stupid things Mator did sometimes. Mistaking Wasabi for Pistachio ice cream was one of them.

Otherwise I had dinner with him and chatted for a while. He’s so into his work and sports that it’s hard to get him off those subjects as I’m not really that interested in them. Then we get talking about technology and stuff, me being a geek and all and well then I end up talking about that too much and I feel very awkward like I feel as if I should really just shut up. Anyway it was quite fun.

That’s it really. I’ve come home and I’m just relaxing before I go to bed at some point.

Productiveness seems to be in my nature

Today I’ve accomplished a lot. I finally finished my psychology coursework after finding some links I had written down to some studies which solved the problem I had yesterday. So all that leaves me with is the reading for English Literature and to write a first draft of my personal statement for university. The thing is I’m no good at make myself look amazing but I shall try.

Furthermore I finished The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath today, it was good, quite an insight into clinical depression however I still don’t know exactly what caused the protagonist to get depressed. Now it’s on to Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Jayne Eyre’s Wuthering Heights.

Otherwise I painted half the living room as we are decorating it and I realised that rollers are so easy to paint with. They make a large wall seem easy to paint.

That’s it really, I’ve just done loads.

Mum’s plans on decorating the house

So far today hasn’t been that exciting. I’ve been into town to get some paint; green for the living room and a sort of brown-pink colour for my mum’s bedroom plus some other decorating supplies. I think mum’s in a decorating mood this summer.  I suppose with those colours our house will look slightly nicer.

Otherwise I made some quiches with mum, ate a bit of them did some college work, relaxed and I’m now fancying a good nap so that’s what I’m off to do.
